UroFill® Founder Dr. Perito Featured in GQ Magazine to Address “Penisgate” Rumors in the Winter Olympics

GQ Magazine

UroFill® founder Dr. Paul Perito was quoted in a recent article in GQ Magazine to address the rumors of Olympic ski jumpers undergoing penile girth enhancement to increase their athletic performance.

The rumor, colloquially called “penisgate,” has been one of the more popular news stories to emerge from the 2026 Winter Olympics.

“The claim… is that ski jumpers used the aforementioned penile filler before getting fitted for their ski suits, causing a temporary increase in penis size and giving them a slightly baggier suit,” reported Emily Laurence for GQ.

Dr. Perito explained the process of hyaluronic injections to increase girth and why it’s the preferred method for ethical medical professionals.

“We see far too many complications in patients who have undergone girth enhancement with ‘permanent’ fillers. The reason why non-hyaluronic acid-based fillers are ‘permanent’ is that they’re foreign to the human body and run a gamut of negative side effects,” he said.

While “penisgate” is currently a rumor, the story has gone a long way toward clarifying some of the misconceptions about hyaluronic acid fillers and penile girth enhancement.

“If this news story helps to keep one patient out of the hands of a charlatan, beautician, or unqualified provider, it’ll be worth it!” said Dr. Perito.
